StackRoll Originals: why we’re building original games

Original games give us room to make something that feels like StackRoll from the first interaction. They are part of why we wanted to build this platform in the first place.

What we mean by “original games.”

StackRoll Originals is the name for games we are creating ourselves for the platform. Our team includes former game developers, so designing the play itself is a natural part of the project.

That gives us decisions to make beyond how a game looks. How quickly does a new player understand it? What makes a round memorable? Where does a player’s input matter, and where does the outcome depend on chance? The finished rules should make those differences easy to understand.

Start with a moment worth playing for.

Our story talks about the impossible comeback, the one-in-a-million pull, and finding a grail. Those are creative inspirations, not promises about the odds or rewards of a particular game.

A useful design question is what gives each game its own reason to exist. For a collectible game, it may be the connection between the reveal and an item a player cares about. For another Original, it could be the rhythm of a round or a decision that changes how the experience unfolds. We will explain each game on its own terms as the lineup develops.

The rules belong in the experience.

We are planning provably fair mechanics from the start. That still leaves work to do: the verification method must match the game, and the explanation must be usable by the person playing it.

We want the experience to answer basic questions clearly. What starts a round? What does an action do? What can a result lead to? What can the player verify afterwards? A distinctive game should also be understandable.

Read our provably fair games guide for a plain-language introduction to verification. It explains the concept without claiming that any unpublished StackRoll implementation has already been tested or audited.

A first look at the direction.

SlabRoll brings our interest in collecting into the game lineup. It is a collectible provably fair game in development where players will be able to win cards or cash. Its final rules and rewards are still to come.

You can also play Flap Off on the landing page. That is a separate free game with demo multipliers, no wagers, and no prizes. It is something to enjoy while the wider platform is being built.

The community is part of this process. The features people ask for, the parts that confuse them, and the ideas that make them curious all help us understand what to build next. Our Originals will have more to say as development progresses.

Built by dreamers. Backed by degens.
